Default Back in a 964..Paint Question. Pics

Hello Everyone,
So after a few years in a 997. I regretted letting go of my previous 964 everyday.
So after a long search I am finally back in a 964 coupe. However this one's not as nice body wise but much better mechanically.

So the original color is Velvet Red Metallic (wrapped blue) and currently getting stripped for a complete paint job. Everything's coming off except engine.
Here's a million $$ question would you guys change the color or keep it original. I understand keeping original color will maintain higher Value. BUT I have no intention selling it anytime soon. Having said that I really really want to change it to Magnus Walker's latest Slate Grey.
But I always loved feedback from fellow 964 owners, let me know what you think.

At the shop ..getting ready!

Color I want to go with.

Welcome back, awesome re-entry back to the 964 world.
Anything close to slate grey just looks so right on a 911 silhouette...

I vote keep it red, for what it's worth.

Personally I think there's too much gray in the automotive paint offerings - keep actual color out on the road. And yes, I own two gray cars (the Boxster and an E320).

Velvet red is a pretty desirable color in its own right. I vote to keep it.

Engine are fairly easy to drop why wouldn't you do that. Then if you decide to change color you could match engine bay and frunk with color of choice. My car was color changed before and it looks bad with different colors in different places

^^ what he said. Whatever you choose to do, drop the motor and do it right.

Gray is the new black right now. Tastes change. Original color will always be original. That being said, do whatever you want, it's your car

Tough call.... I think paint it the colour you want and enjoy it, but definitely drop the motor and go all the way with the new colour.

Do whatever color you like, but do it right, it's only a few dollars more to drop the engine and will look a million times better
