Default Rear fender Liners

I have an early-build RSA. There are no rear fender liners present, although there does appear to be brackets in place for such liners. Did the RSA have fender liners? Does a '93 model C2 have rear fenders liners?

My 1991 C2 has liners under both front fenders, and the rear left side(drivers side) fender. However, there is no liner under my rear right side fender (oil tank side). Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Thanks,
1991 C4 - Fender liners at all four corners... where the oil tank is... there is no fender liner covering that side(in my car at least. not sure if this is the same for other cars, might be that I am missing one cover as well)... there is, however, a cover in the same fender on the other side (towards the rear of the car). This covers the hoses and base of the oil filter.

Adrian,

Is this something that was added to later cars? My MY90 has front liners, but no rear fender liners.

UPDATE: Sorry, they do! Sorry! I was thinking that they should be as "complete" as the fronts - ie to stop dirt going into the rear bumper etc.

It looks as if I am missing this cover on the right side. Does anyone have a part number or a picture? Thanks very much!

No rear fender liners on my 91, always wondered why. Was this added later?

Ade,

You're probably thinking along the lines I was! The rear liner seems to only cover the top of the wheel arch & not the front & back of it.

I don't have the one in the right rear arch either and I can't see any fixing points. I've a MY 92. Should there really be one?! There is one on the left side tough.

Worth another bump. 91 Targa has 3 liners but not one on rear passenger wheel well.

The turbo has liners on all 4 corners. The fronts no doubt are specific to the WB. The rear left has the long thin liner the NB cars have but has an additional liner sealing up the back side to protect the cooling fans the N/A's don't have. The right side has two liners one to cover the oil tank and the other to cover the cooling fan on that side. The N/B cars do not have these.

Here is my 94 turbo.

Front left

Front right

rear right
Not present on a NB car

rear left
Only the front liner would be present on a NB car.

Stock 91 targa passenger side rear

My 93 C2 drivers rear no back liner

The support brackets for the WB vs NB are different and have additional mounting points for the liners the NB cars don't have. There are also studs welded to the tub for them.

Hope this helps clarify things.

Indeed, Turbo's and WB's only for rhs rear liners. I ended up creating my own semi liner from a template I made. Easily done from a sheet of HDPE (aka commercial planter pots!). Wanted to protect the oil tank and pipes/hoses from water spray and grit thrown up. Made another semi-liner for the other side of the wheel arch that now protects the oil filter housing and pipe unions from the same 'splash and rash'. All looks very clean still after 4 years Crude, but does the job perfectly..
