I borrowed a video recently titled "Getaway in Stockholm" has anyone seen this? Theres no commentary just cameras in the front and back of some pretty hot cars driving flat out through streets of Stockholm at about 3.00am.The first sequence is a 911 turbo right on the limit on damp roads! He runs every red light and drives through a long tunnel at warp speeds and also avaids the police who are on his tail by taking a detour through cobbled streets.The second sequence is even better but involves no Porsches but two 450bhp cars, an Escort cosworth and a toyota twin turbo ,before the sequence starts a commentary says that the Porsche was quick but they wanted faster.These two cars are racing right on the limit with police cars trying to catch them,its hard to believe that they are on public roads the speeds they are doing almost wiping out on some corners and straighting at 300+kph.watch it but dont get any ideas these guys were beyond sense driving at these speeds through the city streets.

I think I heard it was a 3.2 Carrera with a Ruf Exhaust and a few other upgrades. The exhaust has a mean growl.

You can download from the web...takes ages but is worth it. Apparently these films caused quite a stir in amoungst the police so a lot of the footage was cut out, there is supposed to be a third on the way with helicopter shots.....more ploice!!

dove, lol at the subject line, I truly did laugh out loud when I read "(not a holiday)". The car is indeed a black 930 turbo with RUF wheels and the video is definately cool to watch, although I'm sure some idiots have tried to duplicate what they're doing.

Seen it too. Downloaded it a few months ago from Kaza. 107mb!! Still think it was staged though as it seems a little convenient that they "just happened" to have a 930 bristling with movie cameras when they were pulled over!

I do like the first of the Getaway in Stockholm movies. To see that 911 roar through the night is great.
The newer ones, I think, are to dangerous to fellow road-users and pedestrians. What they do to the Police I will not lose any sleep over....

Paul, I do not know what drag strip sequence you are refering to but it is very likely.
This 911 was very active in drag strip activities during 1998-2000.

IT sounds VERY similar to that 11 minute french film...I think it was called Rendezvous. Ferrari through Paris early morning. I think it was staged though, as the non-reaction from some of the pedestrians doesn't suggest a really loud car was roaring at them at high speed. Still, it looked good.

I've got the third one too, it features an NSX being thrashed across town at the same time of day. The speedboat bit is very short though, the driver gets out of the car and into the boat right at the end - miami vice style. There's masses of footage of street and drag racing at the end including a chap with some kind of metal soled shoes holding onto a spoiler being pulled behind a car at crazy speeds down a runway

John, Ive also seen rendezvous and to me it just looks like the film is speeded up.
