hmmm, I know that feeling John. Been there before. My wife kids me a lot, since I am always so much about the "fun in the journey", and she is more of a destination girl.
I sometimes keep projects around (usually much to her chagrin) so that I always have something to work on in the garage.
Motivation is a strange thing. It ebbs & flows in mysterious ways. And when that project is a large one, like Talia,... is nearing completion... well there may just be a fear in that. Great part is YOU can define when it ends. Will it ever really be over? Probably not for a long time.
From my outside looking in, the one thing I'd say is that once Talia is indeed ready for cruising, C&C, etc,... it will be the story that gives you satisfaction,... and I foresee a lot of people wanting hear that story. a MINT story. A story of a son & a Dad, and a journey that latest longer than anyone else could have realized, including yourself.
Stay the course John. The journey will be a LOT longer than just the rebuild. You've got a long way to go till the story is completely told.

FWIW,
Years ago I had a friend who owned a business (custom furniture and decor) and was building a plane in his garage. I asked him how he did it. He said he went to work every day at 08:00 and came home every night at 5:00. He had dinner with his wife and kids and stayed in the house until 7:00. At 7:00, whether he wanted to or not, he went out to the garage and committed to working for 30 minutes on his plane. If, after 30 minutes, he no longer wanted to work on it, he would stop and go back inside.
He never stopped.
He said that no matter how tired he was or uninterested or unmotivated on any one day, by the time he had worked on it for 30 minutes his enthusiasm was back and he usually worked on it until about 11:00 each night at which time he forced himself to go to bed so that he could get up and go to work the next day.

John, I can't but help respond why I check your thread frequently. Every time I see the progress you are making, you are uncovering what many of us are like on the inside. It is great to see a car that is more than it appears to be. More emotional attachments than meet the eye. And a future with promise. Thanks for posting and keeping us informed. I like mint green more everyday!

More original paint
Right rear bumper cover
I did discover the center of the rear bumper cover isn’t original to Talia no traces of Mint Gruen paint 😥
I am sure the front bumper cover is a replacement also

I suppose that's bound to happen due to inattentive drivers. :\ My decklid (!) isn't original, for what it's worth. Not sure about the bumper covers though.

Road to recovery😎
I only only had a bit of clear left the mint green needs to be clear coated within 24 hours so I did what you see. You may wonder why not the other shark fin. Well that would involve me admitting while admiring the drivers side noticed my rather large rubber gloves thumb on it. I ain’t doing that to embarrassing.
Thanks for following along 😎👍
