You might guess crazy but that's ok. I want her back to mint green and decided I wanted to see as much of her in original paint so wet sand away the blue makes a good guide coat

Amazing that someone would paint over such a unique color

Nylasurf 08-09-2016 05:41 PM

Bring back the minty goodness - looks like a winning scratch off lottery ticket

JohnK964 08-09-2016 06:05 PM

believe it or not

Who ever did this to her didn't even use primer

tjb616 08-09-2016 07:02 PM

And if they didn't use primer, maybe the didn't prep the original paint by sanding... You might be able to sand down to the original clear coat. Wax, polish, original paint! :roflmao:

No such luck also the windows were taken out when painted blue I think in 1998 so for now I sand it drive it mostly drive and will take apart in the winter

Keep on going! 964 windows for the most part just pop out...literally. The only one you might have to cut the seal on is the rear. The door windows don't have to be removed as the frame between the window and paint also just pops out and is held in by metal clips.

Good luck!
