With you on that. The fuel tank and part of the suitcase were enough for me.

Agree I got the suitcase in then found a rubber spacer in the hole by the fuel pump that guess what goes on the bottom of the suit case so had to take it back out, then put the bulkhead in guess what fuel tank wouldn’t go in 😫 oh well I guess it was good practice 😂

My car is RHD. The tank goes in with everything else already installed but it's a tight fit. What is a pain is that the sender is on the side under the expansion tank on a RHD car so you have to undo that to get to the sender to siphon the tank. If I do this again I will try to run the car until well on reserve and then idle it until it stops.

I couldn't work out the banjo connection on the fuel tank either so never replaced the seals. I'm running the car with no cover for a bit just to make sure I don't get leaks.

I've had to remove the bulkhead about 2 or 3 times so far, and will have to pull it yet again to replace the left side evaporator fan cage. Apparently my repair decided to let go again.

Glad to see the progress, John. Keep going!

Hey John, have you seen the Instagram story (called an "InstaStory" - series of short video clips strung together. My kids got me into it),... from the IG "porscheartdaily" ??

Just today they have uploaded a bunch of short video's from a track day event (overseas somewhere), and there's a beautiful Mint Green 964 (with cage, & looks like a RS).
The 5th segment shows a walkby as the guy is in the staging lanes,... and then the last segment shows it rounding a corner at the track. nice sound too.
cool.
I can't tell which track it is. Maybe someone here knows.

How ya doin' these warmer days?

Default An update

Sorry guys I got into a mental funk this spring😢 I’d go try and work on Talia and at times just stand there not knowing what to do it also seemed when I did do something I’d have to do it again or even 3 😫times.
After Memorial Day I felt my funk lifting and realizing why also that this whole slow process was the purpose of my trip not finishing the car. So I got slowly got back on my journey. The last couple of weeks made some small steps on my journey. I still haven’t painted the hood, engine deck lid, bumper covers and other small pieces but will this summer. I did install the ecu, trans controller, cruise and alarm controllers, fuel pump. I also fixed one of the hvac servos. I could start Talia all I’d have to do is add oil and fuel but decide to tackle valve adj first also to try and track down an oil leak she has.
