Well I had high hopes of getting Talia completed this spring first I tore cartilage in my right wrist can’t do crap with my left. Then just as my wrist was gettin better we get hit with massive amounts of rain late year blizzard and then torrential rains. It gets worse My wife and I took ten days off I thought great I can get a full week of work on Talia😥. Then last Tuesday my basement started flooding still has water coming in I can’t get a break 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🥵

Ouch, it sounds like you’ve had a rough couple of months. Hopefully the weather improves and your can get your place dried out quickly. More importantly hopefully you can get back to working on Talia.

By the way, the wrist thing must be going around. I broke my right wrist a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to drive the manuals.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Shoot John, I saw your thread back at the top and was looking forward to a GOOD update. Oh well, I guess in the mean time you could put together a To Do list and a plan of attack for your second or third or fourth wave, whatever this one is. You will get it done. Good luck.

John, you need to suck it up because we all need progress on this car. Joking. Here's for better luck coming your way.

Wow,... hey John,... I must admit, somehow my lack of postings caused RL to not pull this thread up on my recent viewings, so I am just now hearing of the injuries & flooding. Ouch. It'll improve on both fronts for sure,... and this is a journey anyway for sure.

Thank goodness it was the basement instead of the garage tho!!

Good progress on Talia!!

Many thanks Steve only good news I have today is the water after two weeks has finally stopped coming under the walls in my basement other than flooring no real damage. What a relief 😎👍

Default Progress

I know I’m slow like a sloth 😎 but I did this plus the underside of the fuel door and headlight trim rings.
I have the hood to go plus above mentioned fuel door, headlight trim rings plus a shark fin that got thumbed by me while wet. As previously mentioned the underside of the hood is already done

John thanks for the update. It is probably closer than you think. It always seems farther away the closer you get.... Details details. huh? The pieces you are showing are looking good.

I should have added since the last update I decided I didn’t like how the left front fender was fitted. So I pulled it off Friday discovered when I replaced part of the rusted away part it was a bit to wide and didn’t allow the fender by the door to drop down all the way. What a pain🤣 if not for that everything would have been painted.

Default Done with the paint

The frunk hood😎
I’m finally done spraying paint well at least the color I may have to reshoot the clear on the front bumper cover. I guess it’s down to wet sanding and buffing and install the windows 😁👍

It looks awesome. Now it will be just as important to pay attention to the final assembly details to make sure the car looks absolutely perfect.

Can’t wait to see the next installment of pictures.
