I had one on my 3.2 Carrera many years ago. Excellent craftsmanship. Only complaint was that it changed the way the exhaust sounded - it didn't have the classic 911 boxer sound any more. If sound is important to you, it would be worth checking....

One of the guys on here with a PS autoart 964 has one on his I think. It made the car sound like a 1970's 911 which I think is what he wanted. I think he had them use smaller diamter tubes or somthing like that. It sounded lovely!

I have heard literally hundreds of 964's, and to my tin ears the best sound bar none is the deleated primary, but leaving in the suitcase.
Probably one of the cheapest mods as well.
A friend went for full Fabspeed from headers and twin outlet.
A big chunk of cash, boomy at 70 mph and an odd harsh noise to boot!
Thr g pipes also sounds on the harsh side to me too.

Yes, if you go ahead with the Fabspeed, also invest in earplugs and headache pills. It has an absolutely unbearable drone from 2600-3600 rpm, that makes the car very unpleasant to drive. The drone is in the cruising speed rpm range, so present most of the time. I had it on my car, returned it for a refund.

We've tried the H&S muffler with our own headers and while it made decent power, I really didn't like the sound at all.
After that, we went back to using a GT-3 Cup muffler which both outperformed the H&R and sounded FAR better.
For a 964 requiring heat exchangers, I prefer the secondary muffler bypass to retain maximum torque and perhaps a cat bypass for more power (where legal). I leave the primary one in place as the Cup pipe affects mid-range torque in a negative way.

I have been looking at the Turbo Thomas system with equal length headers but I'm not brave enough to buy based on a YouTube sound clip. The quality looks unreal and you can add heater boxes as well if required. It sounds quieter than the fabspeed, just hope it's not too quiet!

I can recommend Turbo. He does make some awesome exhausts
I've since had him modify mine again...
I was looking for the early 2.7 howl as apposed to the tug boat on the Tyne.
We managed it with this setup. Heat is been sorted at the mo.
The power is now seamless (De-Cat, cup pipe on previously) and the howl is awesome (not a word I throw about). Give him a call and have a chat.
He has my previous back box so might do a deal...

They changed the design ~2 years ago...they still drone between 2800 and 3200 esp under load but nothing to write home about. I've done a couple of 5 hour highway drives without ending up with a headache.
