Default C4 warming light and beeping

Strange one with my car so hope someone can advise fix?
Take the car for a run and after approx. 10/15 miles at speed the 4WD warning light comes on in rev counter and bleeping emits.
Cancels at the switch but light stays on in dial....any ideas?
ABS and all other functions working.
when stopped and restart all ok but6 do another 10/15 miles same thing occurs...strange?

You will find a bunch of posts on this with a search, some with ABS warning and some with only 4wd warning light. While you are reading some simple things to check are battery voltage and also confirm you are running the same diameter tire front/back and all are aired up properly. I believe that 4WD alarm will trip if front/read rotation count is over a certain percentage.

Something is wrong with your PDAS / ABS and the car is disabling the system.

Once quick think to check the level of brake fluid.

But it could be a few things. Bad Relay, bad accumulator, etc..

Mine also just started doing the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago. Brake fluid level in mine is perfect. Please post your findings!

How long does is take your accumulator (bomb) to prime before you start the car?

I had this also recently, just after a big red brake upgrade, so fluid was drained/replaced at the time and everything was messed with...
It was all working fine before the upgrade?
After googling the symptoms, I thought it was fluid level, so topped up, but it still alarmed.
So I thought it must of been something that my indy had done!
Was all set to take her back in for diagnosis but thought I'd try one last thing as a lot of posts refer to pressure?
So I've taken to allowing the system to pressurize and waiting for silence in the car before switching her on.
It seems to have worked as haven't had the issue since taking this approach...

When mine did that, it turned out to be an accelerometer gone bad.

For kicks, ask your dealer for a price....

Luckily alternate options exist.

Can you elaborate on the alternate options?

There's a solid state aftermarket option.

I've currently got this problem with my C4 but have had 2 prior 4WD problems.

1. PDAS and ABS light would appear pretty much as soon as I would get begin driving, warning bleep, etc.
Plugged into Hammer, code 43 Longitudinal Accelerometer fault.
Mechanic pulled 2 sensors, cleaned and played with them, initial problem went away but problem 3 then began (or was already there but masked by problem 1).

2. After a service where iI had a brake fluid flush, the ABS light would come on immediately together with the warning bleep. This was fixed by topping up the brake fluid.

3. When travelling at speed (80-100km/h) for approximately 5km's, the warning bleep will sound and only the 4WD light will turn on. This seems to be the same problem as the opening poster.
Can't find a fix to this problem yet but just live with it thus far.
The 4WD and ABS system are still operating as intended it seems.

Same symptoms for me, bad accelerometer. Cleaning it did not help.

How many miles are on the car? Sounds like you may want to check the tolerances in the clutch pack. See the shop manuals for details...

My guess however, is that you will find air somewhere in the system, or something simple failing, like the bomb. I had to replace mine at 70k miles.

Long past. It was the accelerometer.
Mileage is 160K. Not in a hurry to get to the clutch packs. Leave sleeping tigers alone...
