Default front bumper cover install

Gent's

I am installing covers after respray and have question on side attachment. Have a baggie with eight screws, washers and clips? There are already clips on fenderwell to receive screws? Do clips also attach to rubber lip making screw pass through two clips when finished?

Pet diagram not clear to me

Only one set of speed nuts, those that are on the lip at the bottom of the fender. Everything else is a pass-through.

From bottom to top, bracket w/ raised pieces, bumper cover, rubber gasket, fender lip (w/ speed nuts).

Appreciate the sanity check. If you look close at the rubber the holes have flat impressions perhaps from pressure against fender clips.. I took lots of pics during disassembly but just not of this area... I'm sure I'll need those clips elsewhere from the disassembly...

Rear bumper should be fun as it's next and in that case I took whole bumper off and then disassembled, drilled out few rivots and reduced to three cover pieces that got resprayed.

I am thinking to build cover back to one piece, put all heat shields and black plastic corner sections into cover as Step 1. Mount just bumper to mounts Step 2. Have second set of hands help me mount cover to bumper and i replace rivots i removed Step 3.

See anything wrong with that approach for rear bumper/cover ?

Thanks!

Default Bumper trims

When I refitted my bumper trims, and the bumpers, I put a liberal application of rust preventing wax (product in the UK called Waxoyl) on the metal to trim surfaces and the fasteners and then wiped off the squeezed excess wax once all was in place. The metal flange to bumper trim is a notorious rust location on our cars. Good luck with your build. Regards, Les.

When you say flange, your referring to underside of fender body steel, not brackets and such?
