Default C4 Sway Bars

I'm been researching this for days and while most recommend just upgrading the rear bar on the C4 to a 21mm, I've noticed some are running RS bars like many C2's are running. What's the latest verdict here? Do RS bars work just as well on a C4 or is the thicker 21mm rear the way to go?

I've been looking at this too, good thread on here to look at. Yes it's aimed at a c2 but I'm sure it mentions c4.

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...for-my-c2.html

This falls in to line with my plans, I'm either going for pole positions or gonna get suspension sorted out so keen to see the feedback.

What do you run suspension wise? I'm looking at silvers or k&w. Norman shun has me really taking the silvers over the k&w.

Over to the forum for info.

Try no front bar and stock rear. It's lighter, and you can't beat the price. My C4 has been setup like this for ~20k miles and I really like it- no push unless I deserve it and gentle progressive oversteer* on the gas.

(*Unless I deserve and/or ask for silly oversteer)

Easy enough to pull one front end link to try it...

For suspension on the C4, I'd talk with Steve at Rennsport. He sold me a beautiful setup that completely tamed my understeer. Car is neutral now.

It's better to talk with experts instead of guessing, as there are a lot of factors like spring rates and suspension calibration to consider.

All set on KW V3's...unfortunately, i don't think they make V1's for the C4

Never even heard of Silvers. More info please...

Something about not running a sway bar just concerns me...even though i know its been done a bunch.

I have mine set up this way and it's great. I still want to try a stiffer front and rear together, keeping it similarly balanced, but the initial change from c4 rear bar to c2 rear bar made a huge impact right away.

As for cheep places to get one, back when I did mine, there were plenty of c2 guys around that either had their old bar gathering dust or that wanted to swap bars to have a C4 bar in theirs, since the theory at the time was that c2's handle better with the c4 rear bar and vice versa. So ask around, you may find one for next to nothing or an even swap...

Replaced my stock bar with a C2 21mm bar in the rear, there was a noticeable
decrease in understeer.

I bought the H&R kit but only fitted the rear bar on the softer setting and keeping standard front sway bar.. works very well

C2 sway seems like a good option to me.

I put in a C2 rear bar on my 964 thirteen years ago an it made it my so much better with decrease in the understeer. The car is more fun to drive I think you should do this. Vernon.
