Default Which Engine Mounts

Time to replace the engine mounts in my '94 Cab. Should I go with stock or Wevo Black for a street sunny Sunday afternoon car?

Thanks,

JF

I'd go with the Wevo. I know I'm going to switch to those eventually. Make sure you reinforce your carrier.

993 mounts.
Work perfect, cost a fraction of 964 mounts.
Get the others if you are going to run Sebring or NASCAR........

+1 for Wevo blacks and reinforced carrier, great for a B-road blaster and some track work.

Are they the same as the 996 mounts? I like the idea of using these. My car is just for the street, so I don't see the need to drop $350 on engine mounts (event though I'd like to LOL!).

I have a 996 Cup Car for the track, I only drive the Cab with the roof down on nice days in the summer.

I used a pair out of a 986 boxster I had laying around. It is just a rubber isolator, so you don't need to spend a fortune here. Used 986 mounts can be bought for $50 a pair on ebay with low miles.

They are in fact a 993 part number through at least 2005, and seem to work fine in my car. Mine were out of a 986 boxster, but it is the same part.

I just priced the Stock mounts 964 $355, 993 $155, the price is for one. That's from Sonnen OEM parts, they have the best factory parts prices on line.

Wevo Black are $300 a set so it's all the same!
