well it was 34 here yesterday (about 90 degrees in old speak) and drove around for an hour with lights on through the day - no problem at all.
Am taking car to work tomorrow morning. I leave at 6.30am and it's dark, so will give you all a report tomorrow night.

How would know, notice, if the lights cycled off temporarily, or went into derated mode temporarily, in daylight ?

I only noticed mine doing that at night, and even then only illuminating something close-up... or NOT!

On, mostly on high beam only, BOTH LED chip sets powered.

And please don't tarnish CREE's good name, those might have CREE LEDs but the assembly is by some cheap labor Asian source.

And since you no longer have a sharp upper low beam pattern cutoff you can't use the brightest area of the beam pattern a standard height. Absent otherwise blinding oncoming drivers....
Have to agree with the latter. Before I always thought it was a poor argument against HID's but now that a lot of cars in my area switching to a similar style bulbs despite their headlight bucket not accommodating for it, its just a blinding pain.

And yet, still no good light pattern pictures available. Ever.

Looks like somebody honest must buy a set and post pictures in order to find out the truth.

Just tried to fit mine but I could not get the headlight back in position. Seemed like the back housing in the CREE bulbs was to big.
They look just at these, did I do something wrong??

Even if you could "fit" them their automatic overheat protection circuit might switch them off at the worse possible time due to the shortage of adequate cooling airflow.

Question comes to mind again, how did you fit the CREE bulbs?

I know that article Frank, that´s what made me buy it pretty much.

Problem is that it seems like here is no space for the bulb and that it is too big (long).

They should fit fluxdon. Assuming they are the same as everyone else's. I tried to make sure the wiring was not getting trapped behind the back of the headlamp bowl and the heatsink while re-fitting the headlamp.
