Yea, remove clips, undo bolts that hold rail to manifolds and pull 'em out. Be ready with some rags to soak up all the fuel that dumps out.

O-rings on both ends of the injector. Use a dab of automatic transmission fluid on the fresh o-rings to help them glide into place on reassembly.

I hear yu - I just gave up too cos its too cold!

If you can lever the rails somehow (screwdriver under the hold down tabs or under the rail itself) you can slowly prize them loose rather than tugging too hard and knacking something (hands/face/fuel rail).

Have a good clean of the area as I guarantee one will pop loose and p155 fuel everywhere and wash and grit or crap into the hole you just yanked it out of.

Good luck!

^^^ yep - The lower oring is quite recessed and as such a load of crap builds up on top of it. (at least mine were) Get a can of carb cleaner with the fine straw on the the end to blast the crap out before pulling them out as it will go down the hole

Robt964, what are the replating options? Can I have mine done to look like a nice shade of brass?

What is involved in cleaning them - is it something you DIY or have to send them out?

You can DIY, but to be honest I'll just hand them over to somebody who does it professionally rather than mess about with all the chemicals and electrodes myself. The costs I've heard bounded about doesn't really warrant DIY in the same way Powder coating isn't worth DIY either.

Anyone getting stuff plated make sure you clean inside and out of everything you get back - blasting grit gets everywhere and is terminal for an engine, please dont ask me how I know!

probably worth stripping down other parts such as brackets and supports etc from around the manifold and getting them plated at the same time
