Default Us Canadians are a funny bunch...

....964 prices are officially nuts.

No leather dash, no sports seats. I'd knock a bunch off the price just for that.

Wow.

Hey I have sports seats and a leather dash and less than 50,000 km ........

I've even got a Strosek factory conversion.

I'd be happy if my car is worth half of that.

I guess maybe that is the price differential between a C4 and a C2.

OR Pfaff what are you guys smoking ????????????

its clearly silly season up there too ... or we are all MILLIONAIRES!

oh and loved this line ... "With so many being used for RWB conversion and Singer 911 platform, there are less and less available. ".. what has singer even done 20 cars yet?

Canadian dollars, anyways. Could be worse.
Dunno. If one wanted a near-perfect, super-low mileage, documented, G P White C2 manual, this could be the one.
Where else are you going to find one? Seriously.

The car looks fantastic.

Bet it sells for not much less ..........

So that's what $87K US for a 20K mile car? I agree with Brett, this will likely sell to a collector and will fetch most of the asking. Crazy yes but reality today is in that realm...

Love the Whitnail reference, brilliant Cult Classic Film. Hilarious...

When this car was offered at $50K, I remember that it seemed like an outrageous asking price.

In hindsight, that was a bargain.

I haven't followed this car so did it sell at $50K and is now getting re-listed at $100K?

There is usually a difference between asking price and selling price.

IMHO a sane number may be $US50,000 which translates to about CAD$60,000.

The same story is playing out around the world. Case in point and it's not even particularly original.

In reality it is simple supply and demand - they didn't make many do begin with (especially RHD) and they're not making any more of them! The supply of good cars is shrinking as they've either been neglected, thrashed, written-off, bastardised or rusted into oblivion. Meanwhile demand is increasing.

We've seen the same thing with early cars and Carrera 3.0 & 3.2 with the 964 is just catching up.

In a few years down to road, you will kick yourself for selling the car that cheap. :~).
As the OP said, we are a funny bunch.

I am pretty sure Toronto is actually the cheapest place in the world to buy a used Porsche. I bought my 964 in Toronto and I looked everywhere and within the 3 or 4 months I was looking I witnessed 3 or 4 964s sell for less then $20k but they were far from perfect and this was earlier this year. My friend just purchased a 2011 Turbo with 15,000kms with a really rare manual transmission from Toronto for $115k...and he had it inspected so no issues or accidends and that is super cheap.

I think this could be interesting:

http://www.rennsport.ca/en/classifie...-for-sale.html

I have no association to the seller...never even met him.
