Default September Northeast Foliage run UPDATE Hotels

Date: September 27 2003
Location: 55 Prospect St. West Newbury, MA 01985

Well guys we've got another run. Host is Mark Skala in West Newbury MA (Up on the NH border near the coast). Gathering should start about 10:20 to 11:00 for a little wandering, admiring and talking. Food for gnoshing as well.

It's going to be a long drive so we'll head out early, a run up the coast, then head West and North. We'll do a stop in Concord, maybe some Ice cream and such. And then the final run up to the Kancamangus, some of the best scenery in the US.

For those coming please post in here so we have an idea of attendance.

If anyone wants to know about hotels and the like for those coming in from farther away or you have any other questions please e-mail me at etrent@sidv.org

Syd

I think it's your signature that's putting people off. I have just read it and I have no idea what it means.

BTW, stopping for ice cream on a hardcore Porsche run is not acceptable.

Awww Gwoan

Only really had it in for the weekend anyways.

To satisfy your curiosity, it's from "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" (Suggested to me by others here) early in the discussion about quality, and how quality of writing isn't about punctuation and grammar.

Ps: And what's wrong with Ice cream.

I see. Well I don't, but my curiosity is sated if you know what I mean.

Ice cream? Well, ok then but only if you make sure that no non-Porsche owners see you.

Well one of our New Jersey residents has asked about hotels in the area so here is a collection.

About 6 miles from the gathering site, and a nice town.

Also in Salisbury (another nice town), there is Striper's Inn just off US Rt. 1, 978-463-3343

Another possibility, a bit further away but a nice town.

It is on rain or shine. We have people coming in from Oregon, New Jersey,
and Montreal. Can't turn our back on them.

Figure bad weather will lower attendance, if it's only cloudy or light rain
we'll continue on. If pouring, maybe we;ll go up to Portsmouth and have a
dinner or something.

Only the other day I was thinking that one day I must drive through 'the colour' in the US. Lived in Ohio where it was pretty cooll but the scenery wasn't! I'd come over with my P but I don't think it's allowed in the US? Have fun!
