Leaving the installation of the FD Motorsport short shift kit with new billet aluminium shifter for Dan. 1990 models need a little "adjustment" in the tunnel for this kit.

Looking great Doug. You'll have this back on the road in 3 months. Only thoughts are hand brake needs recovering as will let the side down with new gear lever and proto wheel. Did you decide to do anything hotrod with the exterior rebuild?

^^^ Steve R is doing the panel beating work including supplying good second hand guards, bumper and door. New panels were much more expensive, and costly to freight.
The interior will never be up to your std Macca :-). I'm leaving any more interior work until after the major exterior work is finished and I can count my pennies left. And the exterior will be standard apart from wheel colours and graphics. Std 964 panels.

All good Doug. You have done a brilliant job of keeping the costs down on this project which I commend. To be honest I think you are making the right choice. Get her back to exactly how she was before then apply a vinyl graphic if you feel the need. I think it was a fine looking car with great stance just the way it was before personally. For the interior if there is money left have the handbrake level recovered and maybe play with some RS door card ideas. Of course you have you tach gauge in red to look forward to too. If you want a low cost black leather bucket seat solution talk to Jamie whos using my supplier and there is a low cost solution for track days and targa tours etc.

I made a last minute snap decision to cover the door panels in suede. Not sure I was ever that happy with that because of the way the suede pile lays in different directions if you run your hand over it. It does look nice though after a good brush! The hole positions for the handle were just a random size to suit a handle I was going to machine up from solid but never got to it. The hole centers I think from memory were a tad too narrow for the RS handles you got hold of?
