It looks like the driver's side the heat exchange couplings under the motor has come loose on Larry's car.

I like Larry's detailing videos. It taught me more than a few detailers in my area including a "concours" detailer ($$$$) don't know what the heck they are doing and that I need to learn the craft myself.

Agreed. I have found that there are some average detailers around who somehow still manage to maintain a good reputation. Mostly because the buying public don't really have an informed understanding of what a makes a good detail and what doesn't.

Some 'detailers' would get a glazed look if you started on about two bucket washes let alone what type of pad/polish combo would work best on a given panel of a given car

To be fair most people wouldn't be prepared to pay someone to perform a 30 hour wheels off detail or carry around a brinkman to inspect the work

There are some very good detailers out there. Like Larry. But these guys have a passion for what they do and offer real craftsmanship. Not a production line.

Sorry, end rant

He makes great detailing videos and his 964 is gorgeous as well. He's also pretty accessible as well. I have emailed him a couple times with questions about paint care.

I thought the DRIVE video was going to be the engine rebuild video, but I guess not.

Here's the 17min rebuild video.

Really enjoyed the engine rebuild video, although not super detailed, I feel like I learned something.

17 minute you tube clip says "full length video" at SpeedSporttuning.net but I can't find it there

Man this makes me want to turn my C4 into a 3.8. Fantastic video. Want to see more.

$10k plus for what he did. it was a complete tear down and build up with upgrades. save your pennies so you can get it done one day.

10K plus really isn't bad at all. The result was astonishing. need to save up for this too

10k$? That seems low with all the man hours/parts. I was thinking of top end rebuild someday for 7k$... For only 3 more....hmmm?
