A bit of summer cleaning
Hi all
Well I decided to enter my car in its first competition. it's only entered in the modified section, not the concourse but I thought I'd spruce things up a bit.
I started with under the wheel arches, so with some degreaser, thinners and a bit of guards red paint I set to work. I also cleaned a reconditioned to the black trim pieces with the help of a can of satin black.
The photos only show the near side front but all four have been done. What a massive difference it has made, as you can see.
I also decided to have my headlight reflectors re metalised. The result is amazing and for such a small cost compared to replacements.
Finally I have re waxed the car and wheels with Swiss Vax. I will add photos of the finished result later.
The interior will also get a thorough going over tomorrow night.

Three Wheelin'
nice, I have done the same to my front inner wells. Now that I have my lift. I will be going over the entire undercarriage this winter.
My motor was detailed 3 years ago before it went into storage.

Good work Lee. Your car is really coming along since I last saw it in the flesh at Harewood house about 3 years ago.
The finish on the reflectors looks great. If you don't mind me asking where did you get the refinish done? Mine look even worse than yours did pre refurb.
Cheers,
Thomas

Cheers Thomas
I got them done at a company called Dual Metallising ltd in a Birmingham. The work with one hours labour cost me £158 inc return postage. The guy there is really helpful.
