Andrew, Great write up and your car is stunning inside and out. Love it that you kept the flag mirrors and orange signal lights. It really all looks right. Congrats!

Saw this one on their Instagram earlier. I'm in love with it. Mind if I ask how much you've invested in her?

Thank you!

I'm not a HUGE fan of the flag mirrors, but they've really grown on me. I'm also not real big on the RS front ducts or the clear markers, and I honestly feel the original ambers work well on the Amethyst. In other words, it looks perfect just how it is, bumperettes and all

Congrats! Wonderful feature.

You certainly have a rare color! You definitely got yourself in the right place at the right time to be able to see the car in person and make a quick decision before someone else scooped it up. An example of how you need to be dedicated and determined to find the right car using every resource available.

Congrats bud, great feature!

Got to ask, do you have a photo of your AE86 you could share? Do you ever think about buying it back?

Nice one, A! Great read. I love a self-made story and not one born of a silver spoon.

I'm aching to buy your wheels

Sure do!

It's kinda funny because I don't really have any good pictures of it, beside a few I took with my old cellphone. I never saw it as the type of car you go and take photos of.. I used it a lot for track time and etc. Do I ever think about it? On occasion. I had it for so long it was pretty much old news by the time I sold it. 12 years with a car is a long time and the point it was at, there was really nothing else left to do to it. I sold it to a gent in Chicago, and it's probably good I don't have a way to contact him again, but it sucks at the same time.
