Thanx Alex,

I can't wait either till the glue is off and see if I decide to do another interior/exterior body modification soon.

You are correct on the quick release.... It is a Rothsport....... I am also using the rothsport hub..... No horn function at all with the rothsport hub and quick release, but keeps the steering wheel in the same position as stock on a dished wheel.

Ice blasting is the way to go for removing the glue etc.
No fumes or hard elbo grease required.

Stuart, Yeah, I know that method, but there is no one close by that does dry ice blasting.

^ bro, i help you. bring to my shop, i have BLOW TORCH. i melt everything ;-)

once removed glue, just paint the tub. have your guy or tony weld in a rear roll bar then paint it all. like my white car i showed you. google some 964RS pic and you will not do the carpets anymore ;-)

Mooty: you know I'm crazy also and that I would love to roll with no carpet..... But I'm thinking my car is more of a street car than track car and might need just the RS carpet......

Still haven't decided bro...... We shall see

Great car and project ,
Really like your shifter, is it on cables or with the original rod ?
Inspired to do mine,
I just check the ice blaster , it seams that it can be rented here in France, but quite expensive, you may want to check if you can rent one ...

Hi Kos,

Thanx for the kind words on my build......

It's great to see everyone's taste and personality with each and every 964 build here on Rennlist..... It's awesome!!!!!

As for the CAE shifter, it still uses a rod, not cables. The only downfall on the shifter is that it is only made for the 964/993 C2, and not for C4 or turbo.

The new CAE shifter comes with a new rod also. Hope I answered your question.

Classic, looks you're doing the opposite of me! I started my Porsche journey with a 964 C2 a couple of years ago, and have just recently purchased a 3.8 RS. Both the same colors, and similar street/track style. I have some more work to do on both of my cars, and stoked to see how yours will evolve at the same time.

Kos.....

I don't have the patience nor the knowledge of what is involved in going from a C4 to C2........

But I hope CAE makes a shifter kit for the C4 crowd because this shifter is awesome!!!!!!
