RWB modified cars, what's your opinion?

I am not a fan of the over the top ones with the rivets and huge wings but I like the less ostentatious and slightly less cartoonish versions with the blended bodywork:

Some of his cars for look great. Here's an example that has RWB flare but seems to be at a decent ride height, not silly wide and the flares aren't bolted on.
I think when they're done like this they're pretty cool.

On a side note, someone local is having a Singer built and I can't wait for it to show up to take pictures.

There is a member in the 993 forum who bought a 993 to turn it into a RWB. The car is being prepped and Nakai-San is supposed to come to LA to do the body work.

Seen one up close and personal in Boston. Car truly has presence. I can see mine going this route one day. Figure It needs a respray, might as well go crazy.
As for value.. Tough to say what it would do over time. For a guy who's gotta have one, well then there's value. There are so few, and I'm sure many won't ever change hands. Rarity is $$. Though the sostek cars or something like gemballa ect.. Years later they look ridiculous.
Any older guys care to chime in on how those cars were received back then? I can't imagine they ever looked good.

As Alex says some have a bit of a ratty look and these are the ones I like best...I watched a video a while back of him working and he's got skills for sure and the add on panels look very good quality & not all full of ripples like fiberglass tat stuff so if it done well like they seem to be done it's all good
A fella near me had a zeemax kit on a then new 930 done in yellow & it looked a turd when it was brand new let alone now!!
But I think the rwb stuff will age far better...maybe?

I love smooth fender 964s done by Nakai. The rwb 993s don't really work for me. Some are definitely all show, but a lot of rwb owners do track them. They look fun and that's what porsche ownership should be about. If it wasn't 21k for the body kit, I would do it.
