Default Difference regular steering rack and RSA steering rack?

I know no power steering, but what's the difference?
Why the different part#?

I bought a RSA rack but my shop put a regular one on.

Thanks!

here are the correct turns lock to lock(this is all documented in factory lit.)
Both 964 and 993 have power assisted steering, however 964RSA and RS manual racks are available(more turns = slower
911 is ~3 turns lock to lock, non assisted
964 is ~2.81 turns lock to lock, assisted
993 & 993GT2EVO is ~2.47 turns lock to lock assisted
993RS 2.73 assisted
964 manual ~2.6

Actual steering ratios, again factory specs, higher# = slower
964 18.48 slowest
993RS 18.25
993 16.48 fastest

Thanks Bill!

So my RSA came with 2.6 lock to lock, ratio 18.48 non assisted.
So the C2 964 rack with power steering disconnected is 2.81 turns with the same ratio?

Same ratio than?

The interesting thing to me is that the 993 RS has slower power steering than the stock 993 which has the same rack as the GT2 and race cars.

I wonder why?

Do all the cars have the same diameter steering wheel?

No

the 964assisted was 2.81 turns L to L & w/ a ratio of 18.48

the 964 manual rack was 2.6 turns L to L, w/ a ratio of 17.25

It is a puzzlement, 993, 993Cup, 993RSR, 993GT2evo all used the faster rack, while the RS and RS/CS used a slower version. The RSR and GT2 also had the suspension pickups moved outboard 30mm /side which also affects the steering
