I thought the Coupe was relatively cheap at $29k!

Indeed and probably why it sold that quickly. Unless someone like Rudy jumped on it, we'll probably see it for sale soon at a much higher asking price.

So with all the attrition of 964's over the years and the increase since singer came along who cares to speculate where these cars will be compared to a 993 in a year from now. I can't help but think we are looking at a considerable increase over current pricing.

964 are already getting at or past 993 pricing... Huge difference from not even a year ago.

Some of these deals are nice some not but this was the deal of the year, if not the last couple of years. In NY TOO!! I would of been the first to contact him if I didn't buy my C2 in January (would of been much more aggressive in my search) this was just a random spotting. I contacted the owner 5 hours after posting BTW and he said deposit was already taken (+1 that the owner who was loyal to the first buyer) he said many buyers offered more than asking.

Black on black 1990 C2 5spd 80k $10,000 (does it get better then that?)

Hope it went to a Rennlister and not a dealer. A dealers/flippers dream in today's market.

I was second in line for that car.

I emailed him and he already had a guy seeing it on Wednesday. I was next but of course first guy got it.

That's respectable! A man good to his word. Hard to come by these days. Kudos to the seller!

As long as the buyer is not a damn shop that will flip it, that's the deal of the decade.

Agreed. I had a similar experience when I recently bought my GT2 seats, the seller had a gentleman's agreement with me and honored it although several folks offered him more money than I had, including someone local to him. His word was worth more than a few hundred dollars, it's refreshing to know there are still some good folks out there.

Nice Targa for sale http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...al&CMP=usedInv

To comment on rising prices, I bought mine a year ago on april first, and since then I have seen the prices nearly double.

I bought my GR 5speed C4 coupe for 15k, I feel like with my little tiny problems sorted I could essily get 30k for it
