What’s interesting is that it seems to be commonplace for the 964, maybe because they were so undervalued for so long that very few good original cars exist anymore?
We are in the age of information, any unscrupulous sellers are usually outed & if they get away with it once or twice they will never build a reputation or last in the business, specially in a close knit community like this. The car above has a sticker that is so FAKE i can't believe the seller thinks he can dupe people with it. Transparency is key & obviously this guy selling that car isn't very transparent. Buyer do your homework, talk to the seller, if any information is withheld or you notice seller being vague, its best to walk away, this goes for both if buying from a dealer or private owner, specially private party as you have 0 recourse.

Nathan gave a rather detailed seminar on the future of the market at Tech Tactics East yesterday. I believe it was streamed live but they might have it up on the PCA site. Worth a look.

The problem with the shops playing these games is that their customer base is not the educated consumer but the other % of the market that doesn't visit the forums. My big concern is I am seeing things that don't add up at the highest level. Coming attractions to an auction near you. The ultra wealthy buying into some of these cars can easily be taken by things that only a very discerning eye can detect. Hopefully they hire someone knowledgeable enough to point out the nuances. I have no issue if the cars are sold as restored but that seems not to be the case.

I have not been able to find Nathan's presentation,... the one on PCA.org is the Rob Ida talk,.. mostly about his restoration business & his Tucker Torpedo concept {Porsche powered} project.

Interesting 964 for sale here...

Seems they haven't posted it. At least yet. The Rob Ida presentation was cool. He does nice work. I used to cast parts for the Tuckers he built years ago. Have a hood ornament and some other parts floating around.

Thanks for the heads up. I mentioned in my ad that I've had a Porsche classic radio installed, but just to be clear, this is the radio installed in the car in case I was ambiguous:

Thanks!
