rear deck wing or not?
I currently have the rear decklid with the speed sensitive spoiler.
I'm on the fence about it tho...
does anyone have this wing on their car?
it's the only one I think would suit my car.
I'm not a fan of the whale tail or the flatter decks.
here's the car it would go on:
thanks for input.

Hi David,
I don't have a photo with that wing, but I did see two 964's at the recent PCA DE with that set up. It looks great!

I vote for keeping it as it is.
I like 911s narrow-bodied and unspoilered.
Besides which, your car looks great just as it is. (Though some clear indicators would look good!)

FWIW-I'm a fan of spoilers, especially since I use my C2 for DE's, where it does make a difference (along with a front one to balance the car @ speed). I'm using a MA Shaw( not related) flater Turbo style. I think that one (3.8L) would be great if YOU like it!
Hopefully my new Avatar will be up soon w/ my car in Track trim.

I'm with the Johns on this - keep it as it is; not only do I think it looks better, but I love watching the faces of people behind watching it go up and down!

Dear Andy,
You cannot have a poll to decide individual personal taste. I do not like installing anything just for looks. It has to do something. Also people have to remember that fixed spoilers are heavier than the retractable version. Adding downforce to the rear requires modifications to the front. Check out the RS3.8 and then add the extra bits used on the front of the RS3.8 if anyone is going to use a RS3.8 wing. They do actually work on the race track which is what they were designed for. They do nothing for normal road use.
Ciao,
