I am In the same boat. prototipo looks too old in my eyes. mod 07 looks good but I can't stand the drift look of the yellow strip and I think it draws too much attention to would be thieves that love that kind of stuff. I have an old nardi at the mo and might replace that.

"As for the OE club sport wheel, I have seen that in a 964 with the Porsche crest imbedded in the leather and did not like it. I think it looks to modern to the interior.[/QUOTE]"

Apparently it was OE in the 964 Speedster and of course the 968 Club Sport, I'm happy with it for now, and doesn't look out of place in my eyes, maybe i'll change my opinion one day.

The important thing is, that you, the owner of the car is happy, not necessarily what everyone else thinks.

I've seen a few steering wheels in 964's that a lot of Rennlisters think looks fantastic, but it's not my taste.

Great stuff, it's all about the details. Are your seats with the same stitching?

This is mine... Momo Tuner. Bit like the old Corsa. I might try and black out the Momo lettering somehow. I like the OE 3 spoke / club sport wheel too with embossed badge.

Momo Model 78 for that authentic late '80's -early '90's look. Used extensively in Group B.

What is the thoughts about going with a quick release hub instead of the MOMO to a 07 steering wheel?

I was thinking of doing like Mr Bean :-)
Improve the chances for my 964 not getting knicked since it is open

Practical or no good for a street car ?

I had a Mod 7 but found two issues:

1) The rim diameter/width is too narrow at about 30mm - felt too skinny and fragile; and
2) As the wheel is steeply dished, it moves the wheel too far from the indicator stalk, even with the small hub (Maybe I have small fingers?).

I think quick release hubs are great

This is the one I have:

Best security aid. Pull up, turn the wheel to full lock, remove ignition key and then pop the wheel off. They can't even readily tow it now if they wanted !

Is that used instead of the "regular" hub? Is the distance the same as normal Momo hub? Do you have pictures?

Thanx for sharing.

One of the things I like about a BMW M3 is the very thick steering wheel, so I guess that like to opposite on the Mod 07.
