so the engine was dropped a few weeks ago...
didn't seem in such bad condition, yes the tin is rusty but thats to be expected
But then once stripped completely I was faced with this little treat...
That is the worst of the heads, but 5 of them have heat erosion on the ceramics...
On the plus side 993 RS P&C are on order!

ok so having to wait the best part of 2 months for ARP Head Studs to come in, things are starting to move along on the build...
The worst of the heads was sent off to Camcoat to see if they could do something to repair the eroded ceramic with the ceramic coats that they use on the inside of manifolds, alas they tried a few different options and couldn't get a reliable solution. Ive pretty much exhausted all options for repair and not got very far. I do have a donor engine and going to just use the best 6 heads out of the 12 that I have, its the best solution for my current budget which won't stretch to replacement heads.
Everything has been cleaned up and and I've had the fan and covers painted red.
Also got the engine bay cleaned up and AppBiz Ultimate Engine Pad is in, in place of my old saggy foam.

Unfortunately my car is 200 miles from home so it's not easy for me to get to and I'm currently abroad but when I have an update I'll post some more on here...
