Dennis, your 964 look really good and I knew you would NOT be able to wait to drive until May as you said earlier ;-)
So give her a good scrub & wax and she will look even better.

Good job you bought her, we would had to have you tested for insanity if you had passed this one by.
Beautiful colour, beautiful car.

So right you are swedish friend. Even though it was freezing the morning, it was such a pleasure.

Had my first hick up. On my way to work the engine stalled while rolling slow, so I just released the clutch and it started back up. Immediately died again and once started very very jerky. Limped the last half mile to work.
Local Porsche expert was extremely busy, but could not diagnose anything during 5 minutes. Not the DME relay, and not the air mass sensor he said. There was a clinking noise like a relay was switching on/off constantly.
Auto transport to my Porsche specialist. After a week of waiting (everybody wants their porsche running start April), he finally had a change to look at it. Initially he thought it was the immobilizor, then the main computer until he figured out that it was a bad spark plug wire. Some of them had tape, on others had little bite marks which he beloved came from mice.
Long story short, I know have complete new spark plug wires and two new distributor caps. A couple of thousand dollars of my money I don't have to worry about anymore =:-o

Great to have her back after 9 days

Hmm, I thought you had a non smoker, lady driven and NO pets Porsche 964 ;-)
Are this new from your last place you parked the Porsche or old mice bits?
It is not nice when you find nestings inside the car..... I forgott a roll of toiletpaper (used ony to check oil etc) which the mice made into a million pieces and a lovely nest for themself.

What a gorgeous car. Very big fan of Ametyst.

As for mods, what are your plans for her - street, track, bit of both?

Imo drive her non stop for a while and do no mods. It'll give you time to mull over what you'd like to achieve and shake her down enough for you to find out if she needs more pressing work.

Congrats and enjoy her in good health,

Thanx Frank, king of classy mods
My plans is to drive her 7 month - 10-12k km a year. So daily driver is priority #1.
I have had the tail come out at one point, so plan is to go on track a couple of times to learn how she really handle.

Not many mods I plan to do other than Momo MOD 07, with Amethyst 12 o'clock leather stripe, and Amethyst color instead of the yellow, attached to a slim line BG snap off to work as anti theft. A Pioneer head unit will also be installed even though it deviates from the time period.

Like you suggested, my plan is to drive her first before doing any mods.
Only thing I have in mind for future "dream mods" are the headlights. D-Zug or similar would be very nice.

During the next couple of weeks I will give a geeky detailing makeover, and since I am a bit OCD when it comes to paint, I will probably have to mend some of the chips in the paint + some of the missing clear coat I already observed.

I will, I will.
Shamelessly I haven't yet taken any "real" pictures yet, but I will after polishing.

Just before easter I started detailing the car.
First a compound with a dual action polisher, then application of glaze followed by a sealer, then finishing off with a wax.
When stating I kinda forgot how much works this is and ended using around 10 hours on the car
Now, the end result I worth it as it definitely will be when maintaining the car only by hand wash - much easier.

First some more Ayefone pictures, but were soon I will take her on a real photoshoot.

Sorry about the selfie

What I figured out when washing, polishing and especially wiping off the car is that it really has some fantastic curves:
The front fenders leading up to the headlights, the "hip like" rear fenders, the rear spoiler "ohh la la" very erotic car (for those wondering, yes I kept my pants on)

Wow! Looks good, what kind of product did you use? I really need to fully detail my 964...

Really love the color in those last photos, looks wonderful. I totally get what you mean about the lines of the car. Very nice!

Thanx dub

I pretty much used Poorboy´s world for products

This is roughly the products used in that specific row of order:
PBW Super Slick & Suds car wash
PBW APC - All Purpose Cleaner
Meguiars clay bar
3M Masking tape
Medium compound from a local supplier used with Sonus polishing pad
PBW Black Hole Glaze
PBW EX-P Sealant
PBW Natty´s paste wax
8 medium sized super soft microfiber towels - you can never get enough of those.

Let me know if you need more info
