There must have been a run on these. Pelican have ordered mine from Germany.

I see the dutch PDT999 tool is the hammer alternative espec for PDAS bleed etc.. http://jenniskens.livedsl.nl/webshop...t=Diag%20tools

but i remember seeing an orange (very neat/expertly) homemade tool with lots of switches and light (ooooooh) but I can't seem to find it again

.. any ideas where the thread is where its hiding? Or am i mis-associating?

I believe you are thinking of cajonfan's most excellent ABS tester

ToreB sells a version of the Rennlist Scantool adapter. https://www.bergvillfx.com/index.php...agnostics.html

cheers Silver that's the one - is it just for testing the ABS? Did the C4 version ever come out ... just love the NASA style approach

Thanks Rob - yes I have the cable for the 19 pin odb plug ... need to have a look at the new C4 with that too but it doesn't bleed the locks right? (ie like the PDT999 which I've now ordered with 2 C4 friends)

Correct, the Rennlist Scantool software does not bleed the PDAS locks. You need either a PDT999, UDT999, Hammer or Durametric. If you have a computer available, I'd give the UDT999 a try. I've used the PDT999 to bleed the locks on my cab and it worked very well. The UDT999 claims to do the same things.

ok thanks -- will take another look at the UDT as it seems easier to use a windows app than an 8 bit looking 2 line lcd type thingy

I take it the 19 pin cable from Tore for scantool use won't work with the UDT999 which also comes with a 19 pin cable .. right?

Not sure but that's my understanding too.

I have borrowed a PDT999. The screen is basic, but the beauty is that it's powered by the car and should be able to reach under the car when I bleed the locks, this week. Based on utility and resale value I would buy the PDT999 rather than the UDT999, given that Scantool does everything apart from the locks anyway so someone would buy it for that purpose.

 thanks all!

You may have better luck asking that question in the 991 forum.

Hehe.. Thanks man. Looks like no movement at all!! I have a new mount to go in so hopefully this will remedy it. My car is quite low and on shortened damper tubes so when it hangs freely it may affect the diff position more than a car less low theoretically...

Once i got the new mount in i'll report...
