Yeah, love it too. It's nice how they have kept the retro look, but also the curved roof line as I never liked the way the old Targa's had a flat roof which spoilt the line 911's form for me.
How long before an aftermarket conversion for a 964 Targa appears?!!

Saw that. Like it!
Did you see this, based on a 997 Cab?

I liked it when first saw it but now think it is just a gimmick.. why get this over a cab? only reason i can see is if you're man that's worried about image..
I was wondering however if this will spark an increase in value and interest int he older models.. targas have long been the least sought after variant.. I wonder if this will help bring them back into vogue?

Personally I think that this is the least attractive 911 I've seen. But that roof mechanism...pure mechanical wizardry. I wonder what this car will be like to maintain in 20+ years?

I hear the 993 Targa's are a nightmare if they go wrong let alone all the mechanicals in that 991 version

The reason I sold my BMW was due to discussion I had with one of the dealer's mechanics when I asked him about what to look out for when my factory warranty ran out. He specifically gave me an example of the cost of replacing a couple of the micro switches in the roof closing mechanisms which have a tendency to fail. Cost of switches less than $100.00 .... cost of labour to install over $2,500.
Warranty was to run out in September sold by August.
I really really like the look of the Targa but I wouldn't want to own this without a warranty.

What! Come on Targas rock.
They keep a great rood line, minimise wind buffeting, add structural rigidity (compared to convertibles) and added roll over protection. Besides have you seen the curve of that rear window it's a thing of beauty without any C pillars.
Chaps I think this is mighty impressive. I love how they've gone back to the old style - how often does that happen? And the engineering to make it work so that it folds away is truly innovative.
I'm a fan.
