Petrolicious: Driving This Porsche 964 Hot Rod Leaves No Room for Indifference

I drive a 2,400-lb 911 and I wanted the 993 exhaust -- factory-tuned short headers which only weigh 11.6 pounds per side. You get heat and windshield defogging with them, too.

Happy this thread was revived as I hadn't seen it.
The Time Machine made me want to dig up my fathers registration from his first 911, a 77 Targa, and go hunting.

Does anyone know the specifics of the exhaust on the Growler? Stock 993 manifolds and Magnaflow rear muffler, from what I've read? Any more specifics? Hard to contact Alex Bermudez about these questions.

The aero mirrors are indeed cool looking, was thinking of using them as well... inspired by Ray Gunn's beautiful build. A couple of issues... you have to be genuinely committed and weld up the OE mirror holes in your doors (scary!) and second... you really can't see much from them. I sat in a RUF 964 with these mirrors and there was an alarming lack of "rear view". But like the famous old movie, "... what's behind me is behind me".

Sorry to correct you but the quote is "What is behind me is not important" Greatest car movie made and that was a real Ferrari Daytona spyder they trashed.
