Nice pics, Glenn!!

The rocker shaft seals were never used in production so you will not see them in a factory-built motor. Those were/are RSR parts and highly recommended for all of these engines to prevent rocker shaft leaks due to damaged rocker shaft bores.

I will be sending you a set with the complete gasket kit.

Its been a while since my last post, after discussing the condition of my cylinders and pistons & so on, with Steve Weiner i decide to peel the onion way back

i ended up getting Steve to rebuild the heads/valves , rods, rockers and supply me with new pistons, cylinders bore the heads for head gaskets

Satz bearings
heads rebuilt
intake valves
machine heads for gaskets
Viton gaskets set
had the crank polished and checked for size, it was bang on

Steve has been a great help to me
here are a few picks coming back together

Here is the other cylinder slave (side of trany) it differently needed rebuilding again im sure they were not working

when i had the slave complete i tested it using my finger in one end and compressed air in nipple end making sure the piston traveled freely back and forth

the grime had seized the piston so stiff it took at lot of compressed air and patience to extract it

I love the picture of all the hardware next to the window, looking out at the winter snow.

I keep telling my self, I can do this too, but honestly, I don't thinkmI could pull an engine rebuild off.
I worked with my father when I was 18, to rebuild the engine on my 1st car. It was great experience but many, many years on, I don't think I'd have the patience and and ability, so, much respect to you guys that can do it yourselves.
Having said that, I'd love to it again with someone who really knows what they are doing.

Nice work Enso,

I just did this myself and documented the engine assembly for my 964. Feel free to take a look at our website at the preview videos if it helps jog your memory in some areas, like timing the cams, etc.

I think you got it though, keep up the great work.

Denis
