Default Ducktails

I keep thinking about them. They just seem to sit so well on a 964 and really finish the look of the car. Far better than the popup spoiler IMO.

Still just toying with the idea but are there any opinions on this one?

Half way down the page labelled - DuckTail Boot Lid (73RS style )

http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalo...y_styling.html

Just bolts on they say! Whats the reality of that?

I was actually thinking of going the other direction with my car and getting an older 911 deck lid with no spoiler at all. Ever thought of doing that? It would probably save some weight as well.

I think the ducktails look fabulous on our 964"s. Saw a pic the other day in profile on a red car, and it was so retro cool......looked like it belongs there

I've yet to see one that the fit and finish didn't look like ****.

I think they look very cool.

Here is the shot of the 964 with Ducktail that charged me up! The Fuchs look good too!!!! Wow! They are from Zuffenhaus and come in 17" with 964 offsets.

Here's another angle to show how the fit and finish can be. Not sure where this tail is from. Will dig a little and get back to you all. This RSA just looks so smart and vintage. Me likey!!!!

To me it looks as wrong as a whale tale on a long hood. An anachronism for sure.

The fit is variable. I'm not aware of any perfect out of the box brand and have been told that some of the factory efforts weren't the best either. Here's my fit compared to a factory 2.7 RS

Do you sacrifice the the operation of the spoiler by adding a ducktail, or does it still funtion?

Yes because you replace the entire deck lid

I'd like to get something similar to the singer rear spoiler. Is anything like this available anywhere but through singer?
