I think a tail of some sort helps to balance out the protruding front bumper (which can look a bit awkward from a variety of angles.)

Thanks for posting the pics guys. I love the look with the tails. Are they the same as the 73 tails sizewise?

Tail is the same size on the cars up to and including 964. However the mounting hinge points differ on the 964 to that on prior models.
Tonight I will fit my last decal, take some good pics and start a new thread on the ducktail process from start to end.

Gary Stratton's duck is a different take by using your metal deck, but folks on Pelican seem to be happy with the results.

I wondered if someone had done that. A pity though that they have to cut the top of the deck as that destroys the deck for reversion to normal use.
