Hmm I'm not convinced about this as it doesn't look safe. The fastening of these points is rather critical. The purpose of the buckle design is such that the boss takes the shear force in an accident, not the anchor bolt. That is only there to keep the assembly together.

Ok, with the parts I have, I can't find a way of mounting these buckles so that they sit flush with the boss and the joint not contacting the seat mount. Instead I'm having a pair of spacers machined that should do the job. Pics to follow :-)

It is standard to feed the seat belt buckle feeds through the hole in the seat? On my seats the buckle is on the outside and the belt simply clips in over the top of the seat. It is true to say that the lap belt isn't very snug as a result...

I wasn't happy with the less than secure fitting of the lap strap over the seat. It has to be in proper contact with you and capable of tightening down to do its job. I don't want to find myself in the footwell should something unpleasent happen.
