OK, just got it hooked up on the tow (thanks to my good friend swain!) and on it's way to see George, an Air-Cooled Porsche King.

Maybe the smile will correct itself if you give it a nice warm bath, lol!

Haven't seen one of those AMS plate frames in a long time and never on a Porsche.

Hello again everyone, thanks for the support and comments, it's great to have a forum to discuss this.

Some good news, and bad news, from the mechanic.

First, the bad: flywheel is junk, in addition to the clutch and clutch bearing, which we already knew. I hear about a single mass upgrade, anyone have a good link to that?

The good: after 90 mins of cleanup, crank, clean, etc. the car is firing on all 6 cylinders!!!!! Without any more setbacks, the car should be ready to roll by the end of the week! At least it isn't turning out to be expensive AND never ending

The next step - new rubber. Anyone have suggestions? The car is gonna be on the base 16s for a while...I think I will go with the Hancock ventus v12 if they are decently priced, I was happy with those on my BMW.

Pics/vids as soon as my mechanic can get them to me!
