Now I am at the fork in the road in need of a engine cooling fan for my 90 964 and used to new. Left or right. I would like to get a used fan if there is one out there I have looked at Vertex and Pelican but cannot find the used parts ppl are talking about.

You are asking for an engine cooling fan left or right, there is no such animal. The only L&R fans are the A/C fans located behind the dash.

Try Scotts Autohaus in Austin, Texas. He may have one. He is also developing his own billet version.

Sorry for the left and right this was my own humor talking about getting a new or used fan looking left and right .... And this is the engine fan that is on the alt.

To all this quest has just ended I have orderd a fan from DC Auto.
A word from Vandit I called them up just now and it will be in the mail in the morning. Had to spend a few bucks but these cars are not cheap. I will more than make up for it with the grin factor... Now to get the parts for the alt and rebuild it and belts and sensors and all the rest.
