Anyway, from what I've read, installing an oil cooler does reduce the capabilities of the A/C; however, it was still functional for most climates. Dubai may be an exception (wow!), but I don't have any information to know one way or another.
Larger cooler is better for track

A quick question:
At what "point" on the Oil Temp Gauge does the cooler fan normally kick-in, "9 o'clock or 10 o'clock"?

From p-car.com:

At 212For 230F (993), the thermosender—via the control unit—starts the oil cooler fan in slow speed.
At 239F (964), the oil cooler fan switches to fast speed. The 993’s fast-speed set-point is unknown.

I haven't seen any of the oil cooler kits installed....

Does anyone know if the 'with A/C' oil cooler kits are smaller than the 'without A/C' oil cooler kits?

Can the 'with A/C' oil cooler kits still be used if one decides to remove the A/C at a later date?

Thanks.

Erick,

Great thread!

When you get the chance, please post info & pictures detailing the oil cooler removal and clean up procedure.

As an aside, this thread is also useful:

Not sure how to quantify it, but this mod definitely dumps air into the intake side of the front bumper.
