The brown stuff on the fenderwells and general undercarriage of the car that refuses to come off is Cosmoline. Depending on what you plan to do with your car in the future (e.g. winter driving), you may or may not want to remove the Cosmoline. The best product for cutting through Cosmoline is WD-40. Spray it on, let it soak (softens Cosmoline), then scrub off.

that is correct, customer wanted this to be pristine and this car will not be driven in the winter months, it will be a weekend driver.

I'll be crass and ask. How much does something like that cost to have done?

Really? I didn't ask what you charged that customer, I asked what something like that effort would cost. Unless you feel like you overcharge your customers, why should it be a private conversation? Most here know what quality works costs. I saw quality work there. If I email you and you tell me, I'd just post it here anyway,
