Considering Delo 400 Multi-grade (CI4+) in the coming oil change here.
But looks like not much owner using HDEO in their 964?

Agree, but I think it's because they're unknown or not understood.

Have you seen this?

I've tried several oils. My greatest concern was ZDDP levels. I found this chart on Mobil's site. I decided to use 15/50 as its recommend for flat tappets.

+ 1 on Mobil 1 15w50. I burn a lot less than I did with Brad Penn or Valvoline VR1 20W50.

+2 on Mobil 1 15W/50. I finally selected this based on ZDDP content plus availability. Very easy to pick up on shirt notice at autozone etc... I seem to have less oil drips vs what the PO was using. Not sure why, maybe I just keep it fresher??

15W-40 diesel. Have used it in all air-cooled Porsches a Ferrari and water cooled VWs for 30 years. Currently Shell Rotella T.
