993 handles and aero mirrors make such a big difference to the lines of the 964.

I know, right. They lift the look of the car to another level. Did you get around to fit the 993 rear side windows yet?

Yeah, It's a fixie I built a couple of years ago. Actually made it to compliment my livingroom. It was a fun project. Based on a Specialized road bike, I removed all the brakes, welded up all of the holes and spent a fair bit of cash on carbon parts. An expensive piece of interior decor

I've got the glass and I bought some new rubber seals from Porsche, but the glass man hasnt come to work yet! You'd think with over 200 vehicles on the road we would have needed to call them out by now. I'll go get a brick...
I have considered taking them somewhere to be fitted or even trying myself. I've removed and re-fitted glass on cars years ago, but dont want to risk damage to the 964.
Im holding out to get it done at work for free. What a cheapskate I am
So after getting some ridiculous quotes for paint, I decided to paint the mirrors and door handles myself.
They came out quite good. A nice buffing, and the will be Perfect.
One side ready. Excuse the filthy car.
Other side is due today.
Nice. I should do this before it gets too cold. How did you get the color? Did you have paint mixed to code in a rattle can?
I have a pair of 993 handles that need to go on when I get a chance. Any photos/advice?

I used a local automotive paint specialist. He used a machine for mixing the excact color. Was really interresting to watch. I believe Oak Green Metallic conscisted of 7 different hues. And then he pured the mix into a rattlecan, aired it up and sealed it. Cost me about £50 / $80 including a can of clearcoat. I still have some left after painting two door mirrors and two door handles.
As for the process, I would rate it at 4/10 on the difficulty scale. Easy enough to re-use the door cylinder. The worst thing is to allign one of the bolts on the inside of the door. My hands are not the biggest, but they came out all scratched up. I still have the passenger side door handle to go, so I'll take some pictures when I do that. And yeah, it's mighty cold outside here too.

Hey Thanks!, Yeah, gold centers are in the plans for next season. Just haven't decided on what design yet. And gold painted engine fan to match
