Thumbs up Brey-Krause Harness Bar Fitted

Just fitted a Brey-Krause harness guide bar to my C2. A very nice piece of kit that only takes a few minutes to install, so thought I would share a few pics.

It takes my Go-Pro clamp too

Sweet! I installed mine for the sole purpose of having somewhere to mount my GoPro.

Like! Getting it trimmed in burgandy leather would be a nice touch...

NO! I've spent my life slowly getting rid of the burgundy!

Steve: you could try this on your remaining burgundy parts:

I recently did my red seat piping and lower dash knee pad and it has turned out really well. You could do the burgundy trim on your car very easily...

Is this a good cheap, reversible upgrade that enhances the rigidity, performance and safety of the 964? ($330)

The idea is to get some of the benefits of a cage, but not all the compromises...
To be used with stock seats and seat belts.

Put it in for DE track days and weekend, mountain trips. Take out when the kids need to go in the back.

Material: Type 304, stainless steel.
Finish: Satin finish stainless.
Weight: 9 lbs. 15 oz.
Models: All 911 Coupes '74 - '98.
Installation: Bar attaches to factory mounting points in "B" pillars.
Miscellaneous: Bar is designed to allow enough seat travel for tall drivers.

not sure if this will increase rigidity. the sole purpose of this is to route the harness at the right angle correct?

This is timely post, i am in the market for one of these too. Having a rollbar is overkill. maybe not?

How's life daily driving with rollbar? can still use the back space?

I have this bar for sale if you are interested FlyinTomato. It's a very nice piece, top notch quality and easy to install. I ended up getting a good deal on a Das Sport bolt-in rollbar so I don't have a need for the harness bar anymore. $155 + shipping if anyone is interested, but I'll give FlyingTomato first dibs if he wants it.

I'll add my 2 cents as I worked at BK for a little while. The regular harness bar in not intended to add stiffness to the car. Main function is to keep the harness to body angle correct. If you are looking for more structural stiffness then the B-Pillar brace system will do this. Much more $$ though. Nice piece of kit too, I worked on the initial fit and design of this.

It mounts to all existing bolt locations in the car. See it installed here

Thanks for the feedback guys. Great price MTR!

Seems as though it would add some stiffness, but obviously a real cage would be the way to go. The B-Pillar system looks nice, just a totally different price point.
