Weight saving in replacing techart spoiler with Rennspd Ducktail
Just removed my Techart spoiler. Total weight is 17.6kg. Ducktail and grill replacing it weight 5.3kg, a saving of 12.3kg off the rear end.

Looks superb - love the wheels too!
Are those the same wheels as on the orange targa here: http://www.psautoart.com/ps-wheels ? Yours look closer to the ones here: http://www.fuchsfelge.de/index.php?id=336&L=1 - could just be the pics or my eyes tho!

I wish they did them in a 16" - i'm sticking to my D90's for now - though I've a set of Cup 1's which do look perfect - but I prefer the D90's. However 16" Fuchs's would be the ultimate!!

Wow, that is a nice weight savings... and it looks much better too.
Not that you need to change a thing, but given the retro script and black air ducts (unless you are going to have them painted with the duck), have you thought about black headlight rims (as seen on many racing Porsches in the day)?
Super looking car, thanks for sharing pictures.

It floats my boat. BTW the black ducts are simply waiting for a painting session. Need enough to do at one time. Last night I separated the spoiler from the rear engine panel to see if it needs to be repainted.

Thanks, the goal is that this car draws me past the Turbo 3.6 in the garage so I can come to terms with parting with that. It's coming together. Aside from finishing the ducktail, I'll look to lower it with H&R springs to get the right look. Then I'll move on to the interior.

What's this about selling the 3.6 Turbo?!
Here are a couple pics anyway:

I've had the Turbo 3.6 for 12 years. It was my first Porsche and has been everything I expected and more, BUT it's neither a DD or a track car. I now have 3 911s and it's become a real time investment keeping them all up to scratch. One has to go, and it makes sense to sell the Turbo 3.6, but I'm having trouble with the concept so I'm hoping the C4 will become more attractive. The real problem with the Turbo 3.6 is that I don't want to play with perfection. The C4 is more fun as I can play with wheels, ducktail etc.
