There was a recent thread on this car (I believe) on Pelican, entitled, "Don't buy this car!". I looked, but couldn't find it.

The OP of that thread had funded a full PPI and found body filler and a variety of other sorts of kludgy fixes IIRC. The current owner stepped in, so it may have gotten heated/deleted.

Regardless: PPI!

good spot - that would worry me the most! Left to idle(as per the pics) there would be bits getting hot that shouldn't be with that cowl bit missing - wonder how long its been run without that?

oil pressure seems low at both the temps shown in the detail pics?

I agree, the year information seems off. The intake manifold is the metallic version which implies an early production, not a late.

I reckon the tape was put on there and the sunroof to stop small creatures getting in while in dry storage......but they only did that after finding a mouse had chewed up the engine fan duct.

Well there is pearlescent white, but not as an OE 964 colour to my knowledge.

Some might know I had a PPI carried out on a 964 in Grand Rapids a couple of onths ago. Would have been a similar price, but it was a 93 for sure and though higher mileage was a superior car to this and and still not worth it.
It was exactly the same colour inside and out.

That car has bumper stops in the front bumper? I thought only american cars had this option and UK and Europe market was normal lens instead of the bumperettes ... The seller mentions it has german service book was in France prior to coming to UK but no mention of it being state side maybe I am wrong here ? It has twin airbags another option that was standard on USA cars and rare in Europe. I notice some rust or a stain on the windscreen pillar in one of the pics.

It has the C02 option code too:
