Hey HalV
I had just picked up my car the weekend before and was not able to get my $%&t together. I do plan on making the Club Race weekend.
Do you do any of the drives? If you are ever up for a run in the Pepin area let me know. Great roads and some good destination restaurants!

I barely got to the Spring Fling. My car was in storage until the Saturday before the DE so I had to work quickly to get it ready and inspected. I'm going to try to make the Club Race, too, so perhaps I'll see you up there.
I don't get to the Pepin area too often, but perhaps that's an excuse to get down there.

I can't wait to get my Rivals installed this weekend!
I think user earlydays runs the AD08 in 205/225 on 16"s. I'll be autocrossing against him next weekend w/ my Rivals! Should be good.

sounds like a good old fashion "throw down"!
I will be interested in how the Rivals perform as I will not get to a track for some time. I should have them on the street this weekend as well.
Sounds like not a bad choice in the bunch.

I installed the Rivals today. They're no joke. They feel good driving around in my neighborhood but i'm not brave enough to try to find the limit on new tires out on the street. I'll drive on them a bit this week and hopefully go racing on Saturday.
The Rival 225/45/17 is no joke. Makes my 225/45/17 Pilot Sport PS2 look like a 215 or 205. The 255/40/17 wasn't much wider than the 245/40/17 Pilot Sport PS2 I replaced.

Here's a stack of two 225/45/17 Pilot Sport PS2s mounted to 17x7 wheels versus a stack of two unmounted 225/45/17 BFG Rivals.
The 225 Rivals are some meaty tires!

That looks like quite a difference, but I don't think those front tires are Michelin PS2s? That said I'm very much looking forward to a track report. They sure got good times in the latest Grassroots Motorsports compared to the Dunlop ZIIs.

They're Pilot Sport somethings. They use to Be OEM on the e36 M3 and e39 M5. They were old as heck tires, Michelin discontinued them like a decade ago. I'm crazy for driving & racing on them for the past 2 yrs, but they had plenty of tread and weren't even weather cracked.
Anyone good w/ sidewall markings want to tell me how old they were?

I think those are previous generation Pilot Sports. I'm not sure that the photo has the date code? You should look for the DOT label. I'm running some PS2s that are from 2009 in front and 2006 in the rear. Our safety guy said it was fine, but that the tires will be noticeably harder than new versions of the same tire. The tires came with my rims so I thought I'd use them for in a couple DEs and then get new tires.

Those are PS run flats which are damn near dangerous and suck. They were on my viper when I bought it and they were really scary. Get your self some PS2 NON run flats and wow what a difference!
