I keep gettingt he message "This is not a valid image file" when I try to uplaod images.

The image in question is 900 x 768 and a ".bmp" file. I have previously (some tiem ago) uploaded a .bmp at 102 x 768 which worked fine - can see this in my Manage Attachments screen.

Try using a image hosting site, such as photobucket. Simply upload the picture there, and then copy the [IMG] link, and straight paste into the comment box.

I am having the same issue today. Never occurred in the past.

It is supposed to be fixed now. It seemed to be user specific so the database has been rebuilt. That;s why some could and others could not.

If it isn't the usual "too big" problem, please report in this thread or send me a PM.

Same problem, first attempt was a 175K jpg (600x900 approx), then I resized it to 111K (600 pix wide), still failed. I tried uploading it to my RL "misc" picture album, that failed also.

I have been having the same problem. I have uploaded pictures from "My Pictures" in the past but not any more. Get not a valid image.
