Default Rennline’s blower motor bypass pipe

Hi All,

I was ready to order this in but just before I press the order button just wanted to ask a quick question? may be daft tho!!

If I fit this will I lose some of the heating ability of the car internally?

As I say if im being stupid then sorry in advance.

Cheers
David

Yes you will lose some immediate heat as the blower is deleted, but you will still get the radiant heat through into the cabin and the front fans provide more than enough punch

I've had a bypass on for 18 months and its not an issue at all, the cabin can still get very hot

You can get them for a lot less than the Rennline one in the UK though

Okay sounds good to me, I'll look locally for it. Thanks for the heads up.

Are you going to get a carbon fibre one?

Gary, how did you get on with the temperatures we had on the Spa trip? I got the distinct impression that it was a tad on the fresh side in oldtimer's 964 (with bypass and relay wire mod) as he had to wear a coat all the time.

Same as Mark, no problem at all, car was plenty warm enough inside despite the arctic conditions

G60pops I was thinking about it but in all honesty I don't need it to be Carbon.

I've noticed that Fabspeed and Pelican have the carbon fiber bypass for $325 yet Design911 in UK has it for 119 pounds, equating to roughly $180 US. Seems to be quite a difference unless shipping costs equalizes in the end...

What prices have you guys been coming across?

Looks like they are having them made and not buying in from Fabspeed or Dansk
