I have made a start to strip the paint and ordered 5L of this
http://www.rust.co.uk/products/produ...aft-stripper-/ However its not making much of an impression now there is definitely multiple layers of paint and is quite thick in places , I would still have expected more peeling to occur, a lack of product spec intsrtuctions its fairly cold here at the moment would that affect its performance ? do you leave it to dry or keep working it in wet? you can barely see the bubbling in the first picture ,scraped of in second picture.
any advice or product recomendations welcome

I did this once on an old Fiesta. Best thing I found was paint it on and cover with cling film to keep it moist. Leave well alone for longer than you think....it does work

I Agree with Cheifyb when we've done it at work, slap it on, cover it with plastic sheeting and leave it for longer than you think, we normally use nitromors

Brush on in a thick coat in one direction. Warm temp is a must for it to work quickly. Have a sharp razor blade inserted in a handle to scrape off thick layers. Cooler temps make for frustrating removal. Be patient and protect yourself. This is nasty stuff.

I find it best to use a blade to score the paint allowing the product to get underneath.
As said cover with plastic.

Cheers for that Tom I was hoping you would chime in I had read your thread and scored the paint but still wasn`t making much of an impression I covered it with clingfilm this morning which has certainly helped its taken 2 litres to strip the bonnet/scuttle would appear to be min 3 coats of paint.
