You missed a stellar C2 that was posted this morning on Pelican. The seller is a Rennlister.

Seller of this one has a good reputation, but I personally have no experience there. You should check this one out ASAP.

Is that the "concours" one that the thread content has since been deleted to say "Deposit taken"?

I hate it when people delete FS threads. Mark it *SOLD*, remove the price from the thread, but you don't delete the whole darn thing.

I know that car at Holts, he wants minimum $35500 for it. They have a very good rep, but I think that's really more than I planned to pay.

Since the PPI, I almost lost interest and apparently they have been offered $24500 for it already. I don't think it's worth more than 20K, but C2 manuals are not so easy to find. That said, I have done a bit more research today and emailed for further info on a few other cars all C2 Manual and lower miles and around the same price.
I am pissed off though that I wasted $400 on the PPi.
Biggles, I just had an email from him asking if i had asked someone to take a look for me. I will be interested to know your thoughts.
Opo, has seen and driven it, thought it not as bad as the PPI and photos made it appear.

Does anyone know of one for sale? or can give any websites where I can continue my research.
The $24500 offer probably does not exist and dealer said this to put pressure on you to buy. As for pissed off spending $400, that was money well spent. You have to spend more for flights if you had to go in person so don't be put off by the PPI fee. I paid a Porsche Centre in Germany to carry out PPI without travelling from UK and glad I did as a few issues cropped up. Why don't you buy a car in Europe?

Yes that is the car. Super nice, but I agree would be nice to have still available for reference.

Agreed that is quite a premium asking. There will other nice ones for less.

You actually saved a lot of $$, you'll see it when you get the right car at the right price. Good luck with the search!

I'm driving by Holt's tomorrow on the way to a Cars and Coffee, I can ask him if there is any wiggle room if you're serious.

Agreed, $400 is money well spent, but more honesty from the dealer about cars condition and I probably would not have wasted my time with it.
Laker, that would great, if you have the time to look at the at Holts.
Looks like I just missed a C2 on pelican yesterday, low miles, it looked very clean.
Any way back to my research!

I met the son today, Tim Jr., he told me he was looking for $39k, car was decent clean and straight, but not spectacular by any stretch. Spoiler frame was cracked, original SUV suspension and 16" wheels. Personally, I would keep looking, and factor in another $4-5k for wheels and suspension.

I was originally looking for a C2 coupe until I came across this one:

Should be delivered anyday now, I will post better pics and comparisons to my 993

I saw that car too JV, but as it was a 4 passed it by.

I think I found a couple of alternatives, the first is a Blue, 92, C2 at 75k priced at $28k the second is a white 94, C2 at 125k priced at $28k too.
The white car with black interior is the one I'm chasing now as white has been my preference from the out set.
I've emailed to seller, and waiting for a reply.
Will keep you posted on the outcome.

yes, the only negative was being a C4. For me the condition, mileage, upgrades and lastly price far outweighed the awd. All C2/C4 coupes are pretty rare and now that the word is out prices are up. For those who want numbers, I got these usa numbers from another post for all c2/c4 coupes:
1989 - 1117
1990 - 2191
1991 - 1608
1992 - 670
1993 - 520
1994 - 200

total - 6306
